Syringoma (per area)

What is Syringoma?

Electrocautery uses electricity to remove tissue. It’s often used to remove moles or warts. It’s precise, causes minimal bleeding, lowers infection risks, and heals quickly.

Pre-Procedure Guidelines

✅ 3–5 Days Before
Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning on the treatment area.

Discontinue the use of retinoids, exfoliants, acids (AHAs/BHAs), and bleaching agents.

Do not schedule facials, peels, or laser treatments in the same area.

Inform your doctor if you:

Have a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring

Are on blood thinners or have a pacemaker

Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or prone to cold sores

✅ On the Day of Treatment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.

Avoid applying lotions, creams, sunscreen, or serums on the target area.

Wear comfortable clothing and tie back your hair if needed.

Eat a light meal before your appointment.

Post Procedure Guidelines

✅ Expected Reactions
Redness, pinpoint scabbing, or slight swelling may appear.

Tiny scabs or crusts will form and naturally fall off within 5–10 days.

Treated areas may look darker temporarily but will lighten as skin heals.

🚫 Avoid for 48–72 Hours
No touching, scratching, or picking the treated area.

Avoid makeup or skincare products (unless prescribed).

No saunas, steam rooms, intense exercise, or sun exposure.

Avoid facial treatments until skin has fully healed.

✅ Recommended Aftercare
Gently cleanse with mild soap and water—pat dry.

Apply prescribed topical ointment or antibiotic cream as directed.

Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) once skin is intact.

Sleep on your back if treatment was done on the face.
