Lip Fillers
What is Lip Fillers?
As we age, the lips naturally lose volume, structure, and hydration—leading to a thinner, less defined appearance. Lip fillers offer a safe, effective way to restore youthful fullness, enhance symmetry, and beautifully shape the lips.
At The Raynald Center, treatments are performed exclusively by board-certified doctors with a deep understanding of facial harmony. Whether you desire subtle definition or a more noticeable plump, your lips will be enhanced with artistry and precision—always natural-looking and never overdone.
What Lip Fillers Can Do:
Restore volume lost with age
Define lip borders and Cupid’s bow
Shape and contour the lips for a more refined appearance
Enhance symmetry and correct asymmetries
Smooth vertical “smoker’s lines”
Improve hydration and lip texture
Rejuvenate the face by refreshing the perioral area

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements:
Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen
Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Garlic, Ginkgo Biloba

No alcohol or smoking, which increase the risk of bruising and slow recovery.
Let your provider know if you:
Have a history of cold sores or herpes (you may be prescribed antiviral meds).
Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or recently had a dental procedure.
✅ 2–3 Days Before
Avoid exfoliating skincare (retinoids, acids, scrubs) around the lips.
Do not wax, shave, or use depilatories near the mouth area.
Stay well-hydrated—it supports skin quality and filler longevity.
✅ Day of Treatment
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face and lips.
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and salty foods.
Eat a light meal beforehand to avoid dizziness or discomfort.
Inform your doctor of any symptoms of illness (fever, cold, flu).

Do not touch, massage, or apply pressure to the lips.
Avoid makeup, lip balms, or lipstick unless prescribed.
No hot drinks, spicy foods, alcohol, or smoking.
Avoid kissing or intense facial movements.

✅ Recommended Aftercare
Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness is normal—may last 2–5 days.
Use a cold compress gently (10 mins on/off) to reduce swelling.
Sleep with your head elevated and avoid sleeping face-down.
Stay hydrated, and opt for soft, non-salty foods during the first 24 hours.
Arnica or bromelain supplements may help with bruising (ask your doctor first).

Final results appear by day 5–7, once swelling subsides.
