Acne Scar Treatment

What is Acne Scar Treatment?

Acne scars don’t define you—and at The Raynald Center, we offer sophisticated, doctor-supervised treatments that help you take back your skin with confidence.

Whether you’re dealing with stubborn ice pick scars, rolling scars, or boxcar scars, we use advanced, minimally invasive techniques that deliver real results with less downtime and more precision than traditional methods.

Our Gold Standard Approach:
✦ Fractional CO2 Laser
This is our go-to for overall skin resurfacing and collagen remodeling. It treats broad areas of scarring, improves texture, and softens deep marks—stimulating the skin’s natural healing response.

✦ Laser Spot Treatment (for Ice Pick Scars)
When scars are more stubborn and focused—like ice pick scars—we offer a targeted laser spot treatment that’s more precise and refined than acne cross surgery, with significantly reduced healing time and less risk of hyperpigmentation.

Advanced, Combination Treatments (For Optimal Results)
Because no two scars—or skin types—are the same, we create a fully customized plan after consultation and skin evaluation. Depending on your case, we may also recommend:

🔹 Scar Subcision – to release tethered scars beneath the skin

🔹 Chemical Peels – to brighten and smooth surface irregularities

🔹 Exosomes – to accelerate healing and boost collagen production

🔹 NANO Fat Grafting – to restore volume and improve skin quality from within

Pre-Procedure Guidelines

✅ 1–2 Weeks Before Treatment
Discontinue use of:

Retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, hydroquinone, and other actives

Avoid:
– Facials, waxing, chemical peels, or intense exfoliation in the treatment area
– Sun exposure or tanning

Let your provider know if you:
– Have a history of keloids, cold sores, or delayed healing
– Are currently taking oral acne medications (like isotretinoin) or blood thinners
– Have undergone recent injectables or aesthetic procedures

✅ 3–5 Days Before Treatment
Hydrate well and avoid alcohol or caffeine

Begin using any pre-treatment products prescribed by your doctor (if applicable)

Post Procedure Guidelines

(Depending on whether you had CO2 laser, spot laser, subcision, or adjunct therapies)

🔥 Immediately After Treatment (Days 1–3)
Expect redness, swelling, pinpoint crusting, or warmth

Keep skin clean and protected—do not pick or touch the treated area

Apply healing ointment or doctor-prescribed products as instructed

Use a saline spray or gentle cleanser to keep the area free from bacteria

💧 Days 4–7
Skin may peel, flake, or darken slightly—this is normal

Continue using recovery creams and sunscreen (SPF 50+)

Avoid:

Sun exposure, sweating, steam, and makeup

Exfoliants, retinol, or any active skincare

🩺 Weeks 2–4
Gradually reintroduce moisturizers and gentle serums

Avoid harsh treatments until fully healed

Follow-up sessions or combination therapies may be scheduled based on progress
