Our Story
The Raynald Center began with a vision—to elevate the standard of cosmetic surgery, anti aging and dermatology in the Philippines to match the best in the world.
In 2006, I started my private practice alongside my wife, Dr. April Torres, a board-certified dermatologist. From the very beginning, we were united not just in marriage but in purpose—to build a center that combined science, artistry, and compassion.
Before opening our doors, I completed my residency training here in the Philippines. But I saw early on that we were still behind in many areas of cosmetic surgery and anti-aging procedures. This gap sparked a fire in me. I trained extensively abroad, learning advanced techniques in South Korea and Taiwan—countries that were lightyears ahead at the time. I brought home not just skills, but a vision of what Filipino aesthetic medicine could become.
Through the years, I pioneered procedures in the Philippines that were once only available abroad: Goretex rhinoplasty, microautologous fat grafting, nanofat grafting, spot laser for acne scars and deep wrinkles, vertical lift facelifts, Asian eyelid surgery, and periorbital rejuvenation. I also became one of the first in the country to perform the horizontal incision breast reduction, a technique that hides scars better than the traditional anchor lift.
In 2023, we opened our flagship practice in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig—what many consider the “New York City of the Philippines.” It’s the center of innovation, progress, and prestige. This is where the most successful and respected doctors establish their practices. BGC’s modern skyline, vibrant culture, and international access also make it an ideal destination for medical tourists.
In fact, long before the term became trendy, I was already a pioneer in medical tourism in the Philippines—welcoming patients from around the world seeking high-quality, affordable aesthetic procedures. We’ve proudly competed with medical tourism giants like Thailand, offering world-class care with a uniquely Filipino warmth and hospitality.
Our commitment doesn’t stop at aesthetic excellence. We believe in giving back. I founded TUGMA, a foundation that bridges patients with cleft lip and palate to life-changing surgeries. TUGMA connects indigent patients with compassionate doctors, and more importantly, with sustainable funding through partnerships with local governments and the private sector. Dr. April also shares in this mission of compassion. As part of her advocacy, she treats indigent patients suffering from debilitating skin conditions at Ospital ng Maynila—including those with leprosy, whom she sees pro bono. Her work is a reminder that dermatology is not just about beauty, but about dignity and healing. Together, we continue to serve both ends of the spectrum—from the medical traveler flying in from overseas to the underserved patient who simply needs a chance.
I also serve as the founder and current Board Member Emeritus of the Philippine Federation of Cosmetic Surgeons (PFCS)—a milestone in our mission to raise the bar of cosmetic surgery in the country. PFCS continues to standardize training and advance medical knowledge, ensuring that Filipino cosmetic surgeons meet the highest global standards.
Today, The Raynald Center stands as a place where science meets beauty, where passion meets purpose. Every patient we treat, every innovation we adopt, every life we change—it all reflects our journey, our commitment, and our love for this craft.
Welcome to The Raynald Center. We’re glad you’re here.
